#Qobuz review portable#
Secondly, if anyone has a recommendation for a portable music player (all in one) that can stream Quboz on the go (offline) and online (wifi), I'd be more than willing to take a look at it to add to my collection as a match for my Campfire Andromeda's. (singer song writer stuff, jazz, acoustic guitar covers, etc).ĭo you think it would be worth it for me to grab a subscription on Quboz? If so, which subscription would be optimal for my goals (keeping in mind, I won't be purchasing too many albums / songs so the sales offered by Quboz is just a nice to have and certainly not a necessity). You can get their Hi-fi plan, which provides CD-quality for 19.99 a month (199 a year) to match Tidal, and their Studio plan is priced at 24.99 (249.99 a year) for High-Resolution quality. For example, I'm really into music from artists like: Aquilo, Missy Higgins, Mumford & Sons, Jorja Smith, etc. Qobuz is 9.99 a month for their basic lossy service, but they offer a discount to 99 a year if you pay for the entire year. Library that goes beyond the typical pop / RNB music of the states (Yes Tidal, I'm looking at you). App for Mobile or possible future music player Option to listen offline (download streamed playlist to my phone for example to listen to while in the car) Things I consider to be absolutely vital:
#Qobuz review upgrade#
The only thing I'd consider getting as upgrade so far would be a music player to use (portable) so that I can use one and the same setup for my desktop listening (at work) and my on the go (mobile) listening. IFI Micro IDSD black label (DAC/AMP when I'm not on the move) Galaxy S9+ (source that is mostly used either with the IEMatch when on the move or the IFI below if at desktop) IEmatch (Dongle to connect to my Galaxy S9+ to avoid the hiss of the sensitive Andromeda on the go). Qobuz offers better-than-CD quality audio for streaming music, as well as download purchases. Quench your thirst for discovery with our panoramas, reviews, original selections and exclusive interviews.

The gear I currently listen the most on is: Qobuz offers the richest catalogue of Hi-Res music for streaming and download. I don't have much (if any) music of my own to upload so all my music comes from the streaming library. I'm wondering if Quboz will be worth it with my current setup.Īt this point in time, I use Spotify Premium (both offline and online) for streaming music (in the highest quality).
